Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

The week started out fantastic.  Let me tell you my furriends, don't ever let that fool you into thinking the week will stay that way.  Just remember you heard it from me.

Mom and dad cleaned out the workshop...and hanging from the ceiling was dried nip!  Yes, they just let me play in it and roll in it!  Wow!!!!  I'm thinking this is the best place on earth and me, Ginger, gets to live here.

But then, mom looks at my back...which my furriends, looks absolutely fine.  This photograph proves it.

But NO!  Mom says I'm a mess from flea allergies and I've got itchy spots and some scabs on my back.  And then she said the "B" word.

B.A.T.H.

Before I could even get a squeak out, I was swooped up and stuffed into the bathtub where mom had hypoallergenic soap ready for me.  I didn't even see it coming.  How unfair is that?

Mom said I was being a big baby because I didn't need a full body bath, just my back.  How's that for sympathy?  I thought she loved me.

Well, she did wrap me in a towel and say sweet things in my ear.  I guess I can forgive her....maybe.

Market Monday

Hi there!  Grete here to show you around our local Farmer's Market.  Jonesie can't grow everything so I have to go fetch the rest.

The honey sign smells good.

The flowers are awesome but we didn't buy any.  Jonesie grows enough of those.

Ah yes, pastries!  We did buy those!

What's this?  Another woofie?  Cool.
The market is awesome.

Formerly Feral Friday

Cecilia:  How dare you come into MY yard...you...you...introoder you!

Remington:  Hey, don't you remember me?  I'm Remington, your next door neighbor cat!

Cecilia:  Oh yeah...right.  A girl can't be too careful you know!

Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Welcome back to my garden!  I admit I've been a bit jealous as I visit my furriends in their gardens with all of their lovely red tomatoes.  I've been watching over my tomatoes.  I've purred on them.  I've warmed them with my floof.

And they are still green!

At least my corn is ready to eat.  I know Figaro will claim that he is responsible because he watched it grow, but there is more to being a garden cat than just eyeballing the crops.  You see my furriends, it's a year long process that begins with sitting on mom's lap looking through seed CATalogs.  Then I snoopervise dad as he digs up the dirt, and mom puts in the seeds and plants.  I'm there when dad waters.  And now we get our prize!
I take my job seriously because my family is depending on me for food.  Cory and Ellie wouldn't be able to lick the corn cobs if it weren't for me...and that makes me purrr.

Ellie appreciates everything I do.  She loves vegetables.

Garden Cat.

It's not an easy job, but when you see your sisters loving what you've grown for them, it's the greatest feeling.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday- Scafflaw Week

Psssst....come closer.  Not that I want to call anyone out, but Figaro and Cory flaunt the rules around here all the time.
Figaro gets up on the table, the stove...whatever he wants to do he just does it!  And does he get in trouble?  NO!  He just gets fussed over because he's so cute and he's so young and he's just learning.

Barf-o-bits!

And then little Miss Cory...who gets away with EVERYTHING...and she jumps up on the fireplace mantle and pretends to be a dog statue and mom just coos...and then her momma Ellie purrs.

What's a rule following girl like me to do?

That's right.  If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. I'm out to break a few rules myself.

Make sure you stop by Fin's place and check out all of the rule breakers this week!

Mancat and Momma Meezer Monday

I love my life.  I remember what is was like before, when I was on my own, fur a mess...sick, tired, alone, scared.

Now I know I'm a handsome guy, and I'm loved.  I adore Ellie.  I watch her and just wait for those moments when she lets me get close.
Mostly I admire her from a distance, but on Sunday she let me sniff her nose.  That made me purr.

I think there is hope for us.

Thursday In The Garden With Jonesie

Meow!  Today there is no need  to put out the sprinklers because our garden is being watered with tears.
We had to say goodbye to 4 special furriends in the Cat Blogosphere, Wintergreen, Fat Eric, Luxor and Molly.
It's hard to know what to say, so we thought we'd just reflect and remind ourselves to appreciate what we have.
Take time to really drink in the lovely smell of fresh nip.

Appreciate and purr at every sunrise.

Enjoy the view out the window.
Be happy with the indoor life.
Purr at the lovely summer flowers.

And spend quality time with family and furriends.
