Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie For Real

::Meowwww::

Oh yeah!  Wow it feels great to be out in my garden again!!!  Wow!

But now...to survey the damage caused by trusting my garden to my mom and dad...with only window snoopervision to guide them.  Was it enough?

If you look close, you can see my furs and whiskers missing from my pretty face.  I'm getting over it since everyone tells me I'm beautiful.  All the time.

Sigh.  The grass needs mowing.  Dad's excuse is that it's too soggy to mow.  Really?  This is Oregon!  The grass WILL constantly be soggy.  Mow it anyway!  Ok, I'll admit when it's long, it's easier to take a nibble.  And it does taste FANTASTIC!

Even though this vegetable bed is full of weeds, there are still nip plants growing.  Yes garden pals, never allow your humans to plant purely vegetables.  Nip plants can easily co-exist with any vegetable.  Trust me.  Insist on it.
 Excuse me a moment while I take a nibble.
Forgive me for my distraction...it's been WAY too long since I've been able to nibble fresh baby nip right off the plant.
::purrrrrrrrrrrr::

 Most importantly...the daffodils are daffing once again.  A sure sign of spring.  Happy gardening everyone!

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

 Hey there gossip fans, Ginger here!  Back from my stint as official gossip columnist for Real Housecats of the Blogosphere!

Back on the home front...we got OUTDOOR time this past weekend!!!!  Woo hoo!   It's been months and months of being cooped up and closed up.  Turns out the little evil woofie next door who was cramming himself under the fence moved away.  Good riddance bone breath!!!

We got snoopervised time in our yard and we all were thrilled even if the pawpawrazzi followed our every  move.

So...not to say anything bad about my brother Figaro...superstar in his own mind...but he had stuff stuck to his rear.  Yes, if you look closely there are leaves there, but those leaves are glued on there with...yeah, you kitties know it.   Ewwwwww!   Mom and dad had to give Mr. Figgy a butt bath!    Hey, as long as it's not me!!!

Jonesie was overjoyed to get back in her garden...but in a little known side of our Miss Jones...she doesn't take any guff from ANYONE.  Not even the mistress of trouble, Bennette.

Yup, this is what Bennette thinks of that!

Whoa!

Just remember kitties, you heard it here first!

I'm gonna roll on the deck and get dirt in my furs.

I deserve it!

Mitten and Momma Monday

Momma Ellie and I love hanging out together.  Our mom washed a pile of blankies...but we kinda look them over and got them all furred up again.  What's the point of having a blankie unless it's covered in cat fur?

Momma was snoozing hard.

 When she woke up she gave me a tongue bath.  That always makes me purrr.

It's good to be momma's little girl.  Now if I could just get my human mom to wash the window so I can enjoy my view!

Guess what?  My 6th birthday is coming up this weekend.  Sunday April 1st!  I hope to have a little party here to help me celebrate.  I still feel like a kitten.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Oh these are sad days in the garden.  It's officially Spring but my paws tell me it's still Winter.  I feel like I've transformed unwillingly from Jonesie, Master Gardener and Queen of My Yard...to Jonesie, the Weather Cat.

Sigh.

The view this past morning was depressing...but then tonight...

Ugh. It got worse.

Snow.

There's no point in me even trying to step a paw outside.  Aside from the weather, there was a bright spot in my week.  My mom and dad informed me that the evil Jack Russel Terror who tried to murder me last summer has moved away.   That made me purr.   Mom and dad will still repair the fence when decent weather returns before I'm let outside again.

So...I've been enjoying my couch and blankie.  We even put a fire in the fireplace again.

See how I'm showing you the left side of my pretty face?  Well...here's a little secret.  When mom came home last night she saw that my face was all puffed up.  She freaked out a bit so I was hauled off to the v-e-t to get it checked out.   I sang quite the song on the way there!   I'm now on medicine for a week.  The vet is not sure if someone bopped me (Figaro!!!!) or if I just scratched myself since I do that when I get issues with my Rodent Ulcers.  They had to shave some furs off my face and in the process a few of my whiskers are  no more.  Mom tried to salvage them and take them home but she dropped them.

Sigh.

So...anyway, for my furriends, here are my toesies!
All 4 in one shot!  See how nice and clean they are?  I hope to get dirt on them soon!

Tummy Tales on Tuesday

I want to thank all my furriends for their purrs for me while I had tummy issues.  I think it's cool that I'm a woofie, but I have tons of kitty pals.

I still don't know what made my tum all upset, but all I know is that I went to the v-e-t and they fussed over me and then I went back home.  I fell asleep looking at Figaro's pink nose and toesies...and then I felt all better!

Magic.

Mancat on Monday with his Woofie

My woofie Grete needed me this weekend.  She was ill and couldn't keep down any food or water.  I was worried sick.  Mom and dad took her to the emergency v-e-t...because you know whenever any of us gets sick, it's always at night or on the weekend.   Once Grete got some medication she started to feel lots better.  I stayed with her on the couch to keep her company.

I let her admire my toesies...

 More toesies...

And my nosie!

When we were done with our afternoon nap, we gathered around for the premiere of Episode 2 of the Real Housecats of the Blogosphere!

I'm very proud of my work and hope you have as much fun watching it as all us kitties did pawticipating.  Casting calls are going on now for the next show so if you think you got the stuff, be sure to submit your photos!!!

Society of Feline Gardeners- Jonesies Birthday/GotchaDay!

::Meowwww::

Welcome to my GotchaBirthday Celebration!  I arrived in my garden 10 years ago!   Mom and dad guesstimated that I was about 2 years old at the time, so that makes me 12 years old!

 My family is all dressed up to help me celebrate!  I sure hope you can stay awhile and have some fresh nip from our garden.  The garden is still not much fun to play in...and we got a dusting of snow this week.

But the nip survived just fine so there is plenty to go around.

For those of you who are my new furriends, you can follow the link to my GotchaDay.  It's a sad story with a VERY happy ending.

And so my furriends, since it's cold outside, the celebration will be indoors!  I've got dibs on the couch next to my daddy, but there are plenty of other places to hang out!
