Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden!  Can you tell I've got my serious look on my face?   We discovered pests in the garden this week.  And I don't mean Figaro.

While I've been doing my best to take care of everything, evil weevils moved in on my artichokes.

They are UGLY!  And hungry.
Dad has declared WAR!

I'm doing my part by being extra vigilant.

I haven't yet figured out what else I'm going to do.   I don't suppose they figured out our super secret password, do you?  I know you wouldn't have meowed anything.

At least our clematis is going crazy and looking beautiful.

pee ess...in case any of you were wondering.  Ellie never let Nigel actually touch her during their photo shoot...they got VERY close.

Tuesday Twosome

She's so close to me...I have to act casual.  I'll bathe.

Awesome.  She's comfortable being close to me.  She's washing now.  I'll watch.

Maybe just a little touch.   Maybe.

Mancat Monday

I've been sitting here in the sunbeams, getting my furs all nice and toasty.  I'm hoping my Ellie will take notice.

Oh.....here she comes.  Better pucker up!

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

This is an exciting time in the garden!  I can hardly wait to show you what I've been able to grow for my mom and dad.  When mom comes home at night she is hungry.  Do you know how exciting it is to be able to offer up snacks to the mom who has been providing me with endless supplies of Fancy Feast?

This week, this is what I was able to provide.  I'm so proud I could pop!

Mom thought I was super funny when I blew a raspberry at the raspberries!

I went back to my bench while mom snacked.

But there was more! Cherries on the tree!  Whee! They are super yummy this year.  Cory has not been able to play with them as much because mom has been drying them.

There are still lots on the tree but they are too high up for us to get them safely.  Mom says that this will be my contribution to the raccoons and birdies.

I love this time of  year.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

I know you depend on me to let you know what's REALLY happening around here.

So yesterday, Miss Ellie gave you a line about being "busy".  Well, it's partially true.  I mean we do depend on her to keep the peace...make sure ears are all scrubbed and that...but most of her time is taking care of her baby, Cory.

Mom set out a cat trap the other day...and "you know who" fell for it right away.  Cory fussed so...you guessed it...momma Ellie had to go and console her.

Ellie didn't have the heart to tell her precious girl that she could leave the trap any time she wanted.

Cory is such an innocent.  ::rolls eyes::

Yeah...back to me.

You know you want to kiss me.

Momma Meezer Monday

What's this I hear about you complaining that I never pose for pictures.   Of course I pose.

You are just too slow for me.

I would think you would know by now that as the momma around here, I'm VERY VERY  busy.

I got stuff to do.  Cats to wash.  Relationships to mend.

Fine...I'll sit still.

Are you happy now?

purrrr

Back to work...a mommas job is never done.

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Welcome back to my garden!  I've been busy with planting.  We had to wait to plant my basil since it's been cold and raining.  The weather warmed up so I sent my mom and dad to the garden center to get lots!

Did you know that I only send my mom and dad to garden centers that have resident cats?  Yup.  The one we go to has 2 amazingly LARGE kitties who call it home.  There is a reason their plants are always so healthy.  They are purred over 24/7!

I can take it from where they left off.

Once the basil was safely tucked in the dirt, I had to inspect where dad planted my carrot seeds.  I think they may have washed away in the rain but I haven't given up hope yet.

One of our new artichoke plants is producing it's first baby artichoke.

Cory's toy cherry tree is getting ready to offer us nice ripe treats!

We still have lots of pretty flowers.

The colors are so pretty this time of year.

Mom says I'm pretty too.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

I'll have you know that mom followed all of us around with the flashy box this past weekend.

You saw what she did yesterday.  Yeah...tons of photos and none of them turning out good at all.  Except for a few.

Why yes...the ones that turned out best were of me!

It's a well  known fact around here that I can't take a bad photo...no matter who is behind the camera.

The camera loves me.

Mitten Monday

For some reason I was NOT in the mood for a photo shoot this weekend.  I was having a purrfectly good time just hanging out being me.

Mom said I was adorable so she needed to take photos.

Who's in charge here?

So I sort of agree...as you can see, mom was failing in her duties.  I gave her a wonderful tongue shot...with Grete in the background. Could she get either of us in focus?

So, me being the cooperative cat that I am, I rolled and cleaned my paws.

Mom still couldn't get it right.

Do you know that these are the best photos of the bunch?  Mom is making me look like I have alien eyes!

How hard can it be to get a good photo of me?

Even when I hold still, mom still can't quite get it right.

Sigh.

I need a new photographer.
