Momma Meezer

Yesterday my Cory was playing with a blueberry.  She adores them, but mom and dad make sure she only gets to play with one at a time.

They don't want to find them squished all over the house...or dried up and discovered next year.

So when Cory lost track of her precious blueberry, she couldn't have another until the first one was found.

Hmmmmm....I have NO idea where it went.

Do you?
pee ess...you might have to biggify

Mitten Monday

Oh joy!  A blueberry!  One of my most favorite toys.  Second only to a cherry.

I will sneak up on it.

I will stalk it.

And then I'll pounce!

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Hi there furriends!  This is an exciting time in the garden.  Oh...I'll let you in on a secret.  It's always an exciting time in the garden.   Every day, every week there is something new going on.   Today...pears!

I know that Figgy was acting all surprised that this is food.  He just thinks these are just green things that fall from the trees.  Not that I eat them.

Dad held me up high so I could do some snoopervision up close.

I watched as dad picked a big box full of them.  I really didn't want to pose by the box but mom made me.  I was a bit  annoyed.  I was busy at work...the pawpawrazzi just doesn't know when to stop.

I think there is going to be plenty to share!

Tuxie Tuesday

It's a dangerous time in the yard...late summer.   Did you know that we have these green thingies that fall from the trees?  They could bonk a cat on the noggin'!

I might have to get a hard hat.  Yeah, that would look cool!

Jonesie says these things are food, but I'm not sure I believe her.

Momma Meezer Monday

So last week Cory and I figured out that our mom was planning on abandoning us.   We were understandably upset.  I mean...the last time mom did this and left us with our daddy, he forgot to scoop out one of the litter boxes!  He doesn't mush up the Fancy Feast in quite the same way.

So we came up with a plan.  We decided to camp out on mom's suitcase.  Sure, she snuck stuff inside but we never left our post.

But then, the unthinkable happened.  Mom got sick.  Really sick...I mean hacking up a hairball sick.

She couldn't go on her trip...and we, being the good kitties we are had to go on full time nursecat duties.  24/7 I never left mom's side.

And I felt a wee bit guilty.  Who knew the sleeping on the suitcase trick would actually work?

Meanwhile, Cory has taken off to help Alfie and Milo move...she's flying the Magic Cheese Bus.  I heard they landed safely and after filling up on pub food she should be on her way back home.  Being her mother I won't stop worrying until she is safely back home.

Good news is that I successfully nursed my mom back to good health.  What would she do without me in charge?

Travels on Thursday

Cory:  We've got everything packed up...are you sure we have plenty of snacks in the cooler?

Alfie:  Cory, I want to learn how to drive this way cool Cheese Bus...did you say it's magic?

Milo:  *waving paws*  Goodbye Sidmouth!

Cory:  Alfie...we aren't exactly going to drive to your new home.  Did you notice we aren't on the road?

Alfie:  Uh...um...

Cory:  I told you the bus is magic...it flies!!!!!

Milo and Alfie:  *eyes BIG*

Cory:  Wheeeeeeeee!

Wednesday in the Garden with Jonesie and Daddy

::Meowwww::

My schedule is all thrown off  this week.  Cory told me that I had to post a day early because she wanted to blog about helping Milo and Alfie move to their new home.

Being a sweetheart, I agreed.

I'm not doing much in the garden this week.  I did snoopervise my dad when he cleaned up the willow branch...from a distance.  He had a chainsaw and they make too much noise for my tender ears.

Now daddy and I are going to enjoy some father/daughter time.   Yes, he's pointing to the best garden cat.

Meowwwww!  Daddy I hope you are picking me up for lap time...don't take me in the house!

Don't worry about me furriends...I'm getting garden lap time!   Sometimes we even share a hammock.

Tabby Tattletale Tuesday

I know that Jonesie told you about the BIG willow branch that came crashing down last week.  Let me tell you...it was SCARY!  But of course I was brave.  Mancats are brave that way.  Cecilia and I wasted no time investigating.   We liked playing hide and seek in all the fallen leaves.

I gave Cecilia a little kiss to let her know that I'm glad she is safe.  We told dad that it was ok to clean up the mess.  We did not lift a paw to help but it was fun watching him.

Cecilia took a little bath after checking it all out.

You can see how big this branch is...was.  Whoa.

We are being abandoned by mom this week.  I can't believe she is taking off to spend time with her friends doing stuff she loves.  Doesn't she love us more than anything?

Do you realize we are at the mercy of our daddy?  Will he mush the Fancy Feast just so....will he remember to scoop?  Will he remember that I didn't lift a paw to help him clean up the tree??

Uh oh....

Mancat Monday

So who is this big Tuxie mancat?

He rolls and exposes his belly just like someone we all know and love...but he's got short hair.  Hmmmm...who rolls and exposes his belly but has long furs?

Yup, ME...Figaro!

Since it's my birthday week I thought you'd all like to see photos of my daddy.  His name is Sykes and he visits us in the garden.

My birthday is later this week, but Cory said she is taking over those days on the blog from both me and Jonesie.  We'll take whatever days we can get!

Society of Feline Gardeners- Thursday in the Garden with Jonesie

::Meowwww::

Breaking News my furriends!

Breaking news!

So before I tell you what just happened...moments before my post was supposed to up...you need to know that I was already safely in the house.

As my mom was helping put together my garden adventures...she heard a loud crack and a crash!

A huge chunk of my beloved willow tree came down in the yard.  Of course mom scrambled and yelled for me...even though she knew I had already come in for the night...but you know how moms are.  She had to see me to be sure.

Yes I got a kiss.

You can see how small my dad looks compared to the fallen piece of tree.

I am purring because it didn't hit anything...not our deck or our shop or any of us kitties or our neighbor cats.

It was starting to get dark so the photos are mom's best...but wow.

Stay safe  out there my furriends.  Gardens are usually very safe places to be...but sometimes it can be scary!

Words on Wednesday

I'm pawing it over to my mom for a few words...
Seems like Cecilia has been appearing on Wordless Wednesday a lot recently.  The reality is, she is one of the most photogenic beauties I have ever known.  Every week I take photos and every week there is yet another stunning photo of my girl.  All the credit goes to Cecilia.  She  knows how to work the camera and I'm lucky to be able to share her beauty with all of you.
